Glade AI for bankruptcy firms, and the alternatives
Short answer
Glade AI is an AI-native case management platform for bankruptcy, immigration and general practice firms. For bankruptcy it runs intake, reads documents, assembles schedules and statements, and guides filing, so adopting it means moving off your current petition software. It publishes no prices. Casewell is the narrower alternative. It reads intake and writes a Best Case file, so the firm keeps Best Case.
Glade AI is the most visible AI-first product in consumer bankruptcy, and the most common question about it is whether it replaces the software a firm already files with. It does, by design. This page covers what Glade publishes about its bankruptcy product, what it does not publish, and when a firm is better off with a platform change or with a tool that leaves Best Case in place. We publish Casewell, one of the alternatives below, so this is a vendor’s comparison. Glade’s claims are quoted from its own site and should be read as its claims.
What is Glade AI?
On its bankruptcy page Glade describes itself as an AI-native case management platform built for bankruptcy firms. The product covers the whole matter. Prospects book consultations and complete intake on the firm’s website, then move into a branded client portal to sign a retainer, upload documents and answer a questionnaire. Glade says its AI “reads every document, transcript, and form,” assembles schedules and statements for attorney review, checks for missing fields and district requirements, and guides the filing. Court notices, hearings, billing, signatures and payments live in the same workspace. Its home page also lists immigration and general law.
Glade publishes outcome figures for its bankruptcy product: review that “took 14 minutes now takes 38 seconds, with the same accuracy,” a 97% petition acceptance rate, a 3x average increase in case capacity, and firms practicing in 31 states. These are the vendor’s own numbers about its own product. We have not seen an independent measurement of any of them, and Glade does not describe how they were measured.
How much does Glade AI cost?
Glade does not publish pricing. Its site offers a demo, and it has no pricing page. Third-party write-ups describe pricing as quoted per firm by case volume and features, which is consistent with a demo-led sale. Price the move, not just the subscription: changing petition platforms is quoted across the category at $1,000 to $10,000 once data transfer, parallel running and retraining are counted.
How does Glade AI compare with the alternatives?
| Product | What it is | Replaces your petition software | Reads client documents | Published price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Glade AI | AI-native case management from intake through filing and post-filing, for bankruptcy, immigration and general practice | Yes | Yes, by the vendor’s description, including transcripts and forms | Not published |
| Best Case | The incumbent petition software, owned by Stretto | It is the petition software | No. Credit data arrives through CIN Legal Data Services | Cloud $99 per user per month; desktop $1,500 to $4,000 in year one |
| NextChapter | Browser petition software, owned by Clio | It is the petition software | Its AI reads incoming court notices, not client documents | From $159 a year |
| Jubilee Pro | Browser petition software from LegalPRO Systems | It is the petition software | No AI document reading described | $995 to $4,995 a year, or $95 per case |
| Casewell | Intake reading that writes a Best Case client file | No. Best Case stays where it is | Yes. Completed packets, handwritten or typed, plus interview notes and recorded consultations | Free during the current beta |
When is Glade AI the better choice?
- You want one system for everything. Intake, client portal, document reading, petition assembly, filing, notices, billing and payments in one product is what Glade sells, and nothing narrower does that.
- You are changing petition software anyway. If the firm has already decided to leave its current platform, an AI-first platform belongs on the shortlist with NextChapter and Jubilee.
- Your clients complete online intake. Glade’s intake runs through the website and a branded portal, which suits firms whose clients will use one.
- You practice in more than one area Glade covers, such as bankruptcy and immigration in one firm.
When is keeping Best Case and adding Casewell the better choice?
When the problem is the typing rather than the platform. A firm that is broadly happy filing in Best Case, has years of case history there and staff trained on it, does not need to migrate to stop retyping intake. Casewell sits in front of Best Case and does one job. Staff upload the completed intake packet, handwritten or typed, or start from interview notes or a recording of the consultation. Casewell reads the packet several times independently, compares the reads field by field, and shows staff any field the reads disagreed on beside the source. Confirmed values become a Best Case .BCB client file, read back and checked before download, which Best Case imports as a client.
| Question | Glade AI | Casewell |
|---|---|---|
| Do we migrate off Best Case? | Yes | No |
| Who files the case? | The firm, through Glade | The firm, through Best Case as today |
| Does the client need to use a portal? | Glade’s intake runs through a client portal | No. Casewell starts from what the client already handed in or said |
| How are uncertain values shown? | Glade says it flags conflicts for staff to resolve | Fields the independent reads disagreed on are shown beside the source for staff to confirm |
| Published price | None | Free during the current beta |
Casewell’s limits, so the comparison is fair. It is built and verified on Chapter 7 cases; on a Chapter 13 case the plan and means test are entered in Best Case by hand. It writes Best Case files only. It does not file, run a client portal, handle billing or track hearings, because Best Case and the firm’s practice tools already do. What is Glade AI?
An AI-native case management platform for bankruptcy, immigration and general practice firms. For bankruptcy it covers intake, a client portal, document reading, schedule assembly, filing guidance, notices, billing and payments in one product.
How much does Glade AI cost?
Glade does not publish pricing and has no pricing page; it sells through a demo. Ask for the quote in writing, and include migration and parallel running in the comparison.
Does Glade AI work with Best Case?
Glade’s public pages do not describe a Best Case import or export. It is positioned as the system a firm prepares and files in, so adopting it means moving off Best Case.
Are Glade’s 97% acceptance and 3x capacity figures independent?
No. They are published by Glade about its own product, without a stated methodology. Treat them as vendor claims and ask how they were measured.
What is the difference between Glade AI and Casewell?
Glade replaces the firm’s petition and practice software. Casewell supplies Best Case. It reads completed intake packets, notes and recorded consultations, has staff confirm uncertain fields, and exports a .BCB file that Best Case imports, so the firm keeps its case history and filing workflow.
