Short answer
Best Case can receive client data three ways on its own: a client-completed web questionnaire, a creditor import from a credit report, and manual entry by your staff. Casewell adds a fourth. Upload a completed intake packet, or dictate and paste interview notes; Casewell maps the information, routes it through review, and exports a native .BCB file that you open in Best Case with the schedules already populated. No plugin, no migration, no change to how your firm files.
How do firms get intake data into Best Case today?
Most firms use more than one of these, and most end up doing manual entry for the cases that matter most.

The gap is everything that arrives outside Best Case: paper packets, filled PDFs and interview notes that staff would otherwise re-enter by hand. There is a fifth route for cases that were prepared somewhere else. When a case already exists as a printed official-form package from Jubilee, NextChapter or another program, Casewell can read that package and write a Best Case Desktop file. Identity, creditors, property, income and expenses carry over, and exemptions, codebtors, intentions and the means test are captured as notes for manual entry. What does the Casewell export contain?
A native Best Case file, verified against the values your team confirmed. Casewell reads the file it just wrote and compares it back to the case before releasing it, so an export that does not match never reaches you.

Does Casewell replace Best Case?
No, and it is not trying to. Best Case does petition preparation, the means test, amendments and filing, and your firm has years of practice built around it. Casewell only covers the step before all of that: turning the intake your firm collected into structured, reviewed data.
If your firm is considering a platform migration to solve intake slowness, it is worth checking whether intake is actually the problem you have. Switching petition software moves the retyping; it does not remove it.
